(Professional Kitten Kleener) is not a Dog-Job!
Try these ideas below
Giving your dog a job is healthy and fun for them.
When you adopt a dog, they most likely will need some re-training, this is a good time to think of a Dog-Job to teach them also. Think of what makes you and your dog happy, it could be walking to get the mail "buy a dog backpack" make it there Dog-Job to carry the mail back to the house.
Think, do you have a garden ? Some dogs are great at finding bugs, make it a Dog-Job to find cabbage worms or june bugs.
Finding a Dog-Job for your dog doesn't have to be hard, but it must be FUN.
Jobs can be "no barking in the house" this rule\job, to be quiet, will prove to be helpful in a future Dog-Job such as being a visitor dog at the local Nuersing Home or Health Care Center or School.
Farm dogs can have Dog-Jobs such as watching the skies for crows and being tought to chase them away, or to protect the livestock and the small animals. They can even be tought to help the cats take care of rodents or just to Alert Bark if danger is near.
Teaching dogs to "pick up items such as keys, pens, and the news paper" is not only a fun trick is is also a functional tool that can be used in many ways in not only your life but in the lifetime of your dog also. Teaching your dog to "BRACE" wich is to stand still and hold your weight, wile you are trying to get up after falling, is an easy and beneficial Dog-Job for any Large breed dog or pup to learn.

They make Doggie Backpacks in all sizes for all kinds of Dog-Jobs

It makes any size dog happy. They feel like they have meaning.

Teach dogs early the difference between exceptable places to "Work" and where it is unexecptable, Make strict bounderies keep guidance the #1 rule.

Holding the post down!
This little dog has several jobs, he is the #1 bunnie chaser.
The rule is: Chase but don't touch, hurting the bunny is the "unexceptable" part of his job.
Finding rodents in the grain bin,
The rule is: "No fightingwith the cats about who gets the mouse"
Finding Earth Worms and June Bugs in the garden. The rules: NO EATING THE FINDINGS ! No barking in the house , this is a Dog- Job and a general rule that all dogs shouldknow. The rule is: no crazy behavior in the house when visitors come, when the door is knocked on ect. All barking is to be done outside. Yes he is a Yorky and YES this is all possible !
Teaching dogs to "fetch" items from the fridge may be a great trick, but you must define the rules.
